As a result of our wish to expand our Direct Sales Team; Verso Group currently has a number of opportunities available for highly motivated sales people to join our Direct Team. Working directly for the Head of the Direct Sales Team, your role will be focussed on proactively identifying and targeting new business opportunities. This is very much a solution based sales role using a consultative approach so you will need to demonstrate the ability to understand your clients business, provide them with direct marketing data lead solutions and align our products and services with their own marketing strategy.

In order to fulfil this role you will have a proven ability to build and maintain relationships, demonstrate enthusiasm and initiative in order to achieve sales targets. You are a self-starter with a strong background in new business sales and prospecting to maximise sales opportunities and revenue. You will have extremely strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and will be required to attend client meetings in order to close larger value deals.

This is a demanding role which will ideally require the candidate to:

  • Have a background in data or non-tangible product sales (not essential)
  • Identify and target potential new business clients
  • Conduct detailed fact-finds to establish client needs
  • Produce written proposals to a high professional standard
  • Attend client meetings to negotiate larger proposals/orders
  • Maintain and build client relationships
  • Meet and exceed monthly revenue targets

We are looking for a sales accounts and business development manager to join our consumer surveys sales team. This role provides an incredible opportunity for experienced sales professional to join a rapidly expanding, market-leading company.

The successful candidate will join the consumer surveys sales team and develop, negotiate and close new business opportunities. This role is designed to close high value deals and expand our client base further through networking and delivering on promises to our clients.

Reporting to the Survey Director, the role will require a mix of telephone and face-to-face sales. The successful candidate will take the opportunity to discuss our range of products and services with clients.

  • Build pipeline of prospects within the target market
  • Develop, negotiate, and close new business opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with the account management team to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and revenue growth among existing customers
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline of all opportunities, contacts and account history and provide appropriate communication to the Survey Director/Survey Team
  • Produce written proposals to a professional standard
  • Conduct detailed fact-finds to establish client needs
  • Manage contracts/agreements to ensure expectations are being established, communicated and met
  • Meet and exceed individual monthly/annual quotas for new business development.

Required Skills:

  • Proven track record of direct marketing sales
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of direct marketing and industry services
  • High level of personal organisation and time management
